Getaway to our Oasis in the Algonquin
Visit our Earthship and experience a truly tropical space We offer a unique experience,
all accommodations are available on a sliding scale. The scale is decided for each situation, e.g.
number of people, whether guests camp or stay in the house, number of days staying, etc.
We will happily discuss your stay and your needs when you reserve your getaway to the oasis and create the scale
that works for the situation. Some typical things that occur at the earthship
campfires, singing and drumming....organic gardening......quiet walks in nature.
Some typical things that don't happen at the earthship
cellphones, blackberrys etc, don't work.... We are in the void.... Toilets don't flush...they compost Plus you can choose to
Book a relaxing treatment with a local practioner, e.g. reiki, theraputic touch, bowen, stone massage (priced by the practioners) Book a session in the music studio with Errol to create your own relaxing/healing meditation. (ask about the options and prices) Create your own tile mosaic or other found/recycled art piece. (small fee for the supplies) Book a day of education and hands on experience in earthship building.

EXPERIENCE SACRED SOUND RETREAT CAMP UNDER THE STARS
A WEEKEND RETREAT AT THE KILLALOE EARTHSHIP

Come and co-create a personal sacred sounds CD in a solar powered recording studio, then take home the cd to re-live the experience whenever you wish.
JOIN US AND EXPERIENCE THE SOOTHING SOUNDS.The group of 20 people, together with their hosts will co-create sacred sounds over the weekend. Using each participants name and birth information we will specifically create sounds for each individual. Each one will go home with a cd recording created by the group. This recording can then be used by the individual daily for meditation, relaxation, or for increased inspiration & joyousness.
RETREAT DATES: All retreats start Friday evening & finish Sunday afternoon.

- Retreat 2. Aug. 29-31, 2008
Only 20 spaces per retreat.

Includes:
- workshop with recording session and a professional quality sacred sounds cd to take home
- meals and snacks - all served in the earthship,
- camping area with outdoor shower, outhouse and fire pit.
Please Bring:
- camping gear: tent, sleeping bag, comfy clothes, etc.
- towels, earth friendly shampoos, soaps & other personal care items
We provide a delicious selection of locally grown and organic vegetarian food. Saturday evening feast includes a variety of vegetarian foods, as well as locally smoked fish and turkey. Feast followed by music under the stars. Book now, avoid disappointment, only 20 spots.
Driving Directions:
- From Toronto take the 401 till Belleville, take #62 north, pass thru Bancroft to Barrys Bay.
- Follow #60 east about 20 km to Killaloe.
- At the O.P.P. station turn left on Old Trestle Road,
- Take the first right onto Heritage Road,
- Follow along pass Wildlife Road then look for driveway on left hand side and a sign saying 'Earthship'
- From Ottawa take the 417 west to Cobden
- Turn left onto highway 60 travelling west
- Go thru Eganville and Golden Lake until Killaloe
- At the flashing lights, highway 512 turn right
- At the first road turn left onto Wildlife Road, continue to Heritage Road, turn right
- Look for the driveway on the left hand side and a sign saying 'Earthship'

ABOUT THE SITE:
- The Earthship is the home & workplace of Errol & Lisa Francis.
- Located on 100 acres in Killaloe, Ontario: a small town, population 700, about 1 hour northeast of Bancroft.
- The Earthship is an earthrammed building, made of recycled materials.
- The structure is 160 feet long, housing a solar powered recording studio. & a gray water planter complete with bananas, pineapples & kiwis growing.
RETREAT OVERVIEW
- Friday afternoon arrival.
- Set up camping stuff.
- Friday evening, light food fare, welcoming gathering & orientation. Camping under the stars.
- Saturday, breakfast, lunch & dinner provided. Mid morning & mid afternoon snacks too. Sacred sound creation process begins in the morning and continues thru the afternooon.
- Saturday dinner feast followed by a magical musical evening under the stars.
- Sunday breakfast, mid morning snack & lunch provided. Sacred sound activities in morning, closing gathering after lunch.
