Welcome to the Asoma Music Earthship Studio located near Killaloe, Ontario.

The first view of the Earthship is its enormous glass front which acts as a passive solar collector. The Earthship is approximately 7000 square feet on 2 levels.
Looking down the main hall, the Earthship is divided up into sections which face towards the sun for heat and light.
It is made out of tires, cans and bottles, packed earth, wood, and concrete. It is very environmentally friendly.
We would not joke about all those tires... about 10,000 in all.
... or the cans and bottles either.
The Earthship is powered by the sun and even generates its own electricity using solar panels.
There are a number of vegetable and fruit garden areas in the Earthship.
We can grow things all year round.

The front area of the Earthship acts as a greenhouse. It allows us to grow our own fruit and vegetables... including bananas and pineapples.

Besides being the home of the Francis family, the Earthship is also the stage for concerts and plays.
